Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 21, 2026
Introduction and Commitment to Privacy
At Hyperfect LLC, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop application, Nexus, and our website.
Nexus is fundamentally designed with privacy as a core feature. Unlike typical SaaS applications, Nexus runs locally on your computer. Your job application data, resumes, and personal information never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to send them to external services.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to operate and improve Nexus. Here's what we collect:
License Activation Data
When you activate a Nexus license, we collect:
- Email address associated with your license
- License key (hashed for security)
- Activation timestamp
- Device identifier (for license validation)
This data is used solely for license verification and activation purposes.
Website Form Submissions
When you submit forms on our website (waitlist, contact form, etc.), we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Any message content you provide
- Submission timestamp
Waitlist entries may include internal status fields (such as pending, approved, invited, or converted) so we can manage access to beta programs and onboarding invites.
We retain waitlist/contact records only as long as reasonably necessary for launch operations, support, legal obligations, or fraud prevention. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
Anonymized Application Telemetry
To improve Nexus, we collect anonymized usage statistics:
- Application version
- Operating system type and version
- Feature usage frequency (anonymized, no personal data)
- Application crash reports (without personal data)
- Session duration
- Performance metrics
Important: Telemetry data is completely anonymized. We never collect information about specific job applications, companies, resumes, or any data related to your job search activities.
Website Cookies and Local Storage
Our website uses:
- Theme preference: A cookie to remember your light/dark mode preference
- Analytics: Website analytics events to understand product demand and improve UX (currently Google Analytics 4)
You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Information We Do NOT Collect
Nexus is designed to keep your data private. We explicitly do NOT collect, store, or have access to:
- Resumes: Your resume files remain on your device
- Job Application Data: Customizations, job descriptions, and application history stay local
- Passwords: Any passwords, authentication tokens, or credentials
- Browsing History: Websites you visit or your browsing activity
- Personal Data: Social security numbers, financial information, or sensitive personal data
- Email Content: Email addresses of recruiters or hiring managers (beyond what you explicitly enter)
- Job Applications: Records of jobs you've applied to or applications you've customized
How Your Data Is Stored Locally
Nexus stores all application data locally on your computer in encrypted format:
- Database Location: Data is stored in your user directory (platform-specific)
- Encryption: Sensitive data is encrypted at rest
- No Cloud Backup: We do not automatically back up your data to cloud servers
- Your Control: You have full control over your data and can export, backup, or delete it at any time
You are responsible for backing up your data. We recommend regularly exporting your application configurations and data.
Use of Third-Party AI Services
Nexus offers optional integration with external Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI's GPT models. This is entirely optional and user-controlled.
If you choose to use external AI services:
- You must provide your own API key to those services
- Job descriptions or application data you send to these services are subject to their privacy policies
- We are not responsible for how third-party AI providers handle your data
- By using external AI services, you are agreeing to their terms and privacy policies
Default Behavior: By default, Nexus operates entirely locally without connecting to external AI services. External AI integrations are opt-in features.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any external AI service before using it:
License Verification
Nexus performs periodic license verification to ensure your license remains valid:
- Frequency: License checks occur periodically (typically daily)
- Data Sent: Only a hashed version of your license key and device identifier are sent
- Server Response: We only respond with license validity status
- No Personal Data: No information about your applications, resumes, or job search is included in verification requests
License verification is necessary to prevent unauthorized use and protect your investment in Nexus.
Website Data Collection
Our website uses lightweight tracking to improve launch operations and product UX:
Cookies
- Theme Preference: Remembers your light/dark mode selection
- Essential: Minimal first-party cookies for functionality

We currently use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate site traffic and key onboarding actions. We do not use ad-retargeting pixels or sell analytics data.
